Previously, he had attended Occidental College receiving a degree in Social Work with a minor in Education. John’s experience is expansive as he has worked with multiple populations including families, children, and youth in community mental health, as in inpatient and outpatient therapist for a chemical dependency and substance use program, and as a medical social worker providing support for the geriatric population and those with terminal illnesses. John uses a person centered, self love focused, Rogerian approach.
"Life can be heavy. Whether it’s a stressor from our family, friends, social, cultural, or religious norms, it can get exhausting. Therapy can be beneficial because in that hour, you’re allowed to think and feel freely while someone helps you carry that burden. My goal with a Rogerian, self love focused approach is to help you realize that not only are you not alone with what you’ve got in your mind and heart but that you are more than capable to handle it on your own. Sometimes, it just takes a little reminder that we can. Whether it’s a mountain or a molehill, I’m listening. "

Amy Lebolt, LCSW
I have a passion for working with sensitive people who may excel in certain areas of life while experiencing dissatisfaction and disconnection in others. I approach my work with great faith in our innate capacity to heal and grow with adequate support and nurturance and draw from a rich professional background which includes working in addiction, mental health and trauma, as well as palliative and hospice care. On a personal note, I bring my own experience with parenting children through adulthood, shifting goals and roles across the lifespan, and spirituality to the therapeutic process and welcome individuals and couples facing crossroads in their lives.
I have long term experience working with clients struggling with addiction, including food and body image issues, and I incorporate mindfulness skills and cognitive-behavioral strategies to strengthen coping. I use an Internal Family Systems approach to help clients connect to disavowed or extreme internal parts and restore balance to their true self.
I view the therapy process as an opportunity to shine light on the parts of ourselves and our lives that may feel stuck, or stunted, or shut down. Therapy becomes a journey of both expansion and letting go and I seek to elicit in you a genuine curiosity and compassion towards yourself within an atmosphere of safety, trust, and acceptance.
